Announcing the new Datavyu v1.3.6 with enhanced features and transcription support!

Hi there!

We have been using our script with no issues (on PC). I have been using the script almost every day with no errors, however this morning it decides to give me a ***SCRIPT ERROR*** and not allow me to run the script. I believe this is because I have a new computer now and downloaded Datavyu. Please help!

The error says....

NoMethodError: undefined method 'createColumn' for main:Object (root) at <script>:5

where the code says.....

id = createColumn("id", "participant_id", "yyyymmdd")

This error occurs for whatever line of script comes first. Even when I delete this simple naming column, the (root) error continues with the rest of the columns, but singles out the first line of code.

How can we alleviate this error? Please help!

Hi!

Many of the function names were changed in 1.3.6 to conform to the Ruby Style Guide. We tried to make sure all of the old names were still supported but unfortunately we missed "createColumn". This is fixed for the next release.

Please add the following line of code after the require 'Datavyu_API.rb' inside the script:

alias :createColumn :new_column
