Announcing the new Datavyu v1.3.6 with enhanced features and transcription support!

I recently downloaded datavyu on to my mac (IOS X 10.9.5) but I'm unable to upload videos. I am getting an error message that reads: Non-Java exception raised, not handled! (Original problem: ***-[__NSArrayM object AtIndex:]: index -0 beyond bounds for empty array). I have tried troubleshooting as well as reading other FAQs but nothing seems to be working.

Hi,

I am using version 1.3.7, and I tried to select JavaFX from the drop down menu, and now it is not showing an error message but still won't let me upload videos. Any other suggestions? Thank you so much for your help.

Hi,

Which version of Datavyu are you using?

The first thing I would try is switching to a newer version of Datavyu (either 1.3.4 or 1.3.7). See the following links:

1.3.4 1.3.7

Additionally, you can try selecting a different video plugin when you add the data. If the default plugin doesn't work, I would try the JavaFX plugin or the VLC plugin. See the following post for instructions on selecting different plugins (images are from Windows computers, but the instructions are similar for Macs): Selecting plugins
