I would like to write a script to add a video file. The name and path of the video file would be in the codes for, for example, the first cell of column xx. Is there a way to do this with the API?

The current API does not have functions to facilitate this, but this should be possible in principle. Let me do a little digging and maybe I can put something together to accomplish this.

This issue also comes up when I am doing a batch operation on multiple files (e.g., adding a column to all opf files in a folder). It will write the changed spreadsheet but will lose all links to video files.

Have you had any luck on finding a solution?

We've implemented a change to the Ruby API that should fix the video information being removed. As for the original question, I haven't implemented anything in the API for it yet (we will have more time to add this once version 1.4 rolls out).
