It is mentioned somewhere in the doc that as a Java application, Datavyu can run also under Linux. I have cloned the source and tried to run the compile_linuxjar.sh script. However, it halts with an error:

Falied to execute goal org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-jar-plugin:3.0.2:jar (default-cli) on project datavyu: You have to use a classifier to attach supplemental artifacts to the project instead of replacing them. -> [Help 1]

jre8 and openjfx are installed. I do not understand Java-related programming lingo, so maybe you can help. If necessary, I can also add a full stack trace of the error.

Cheers, Andreas

We are not actively testing builds on a Linux environment so I do not have up-to-date information on this. I will pass this to the rest of the team and see if any of them can check up on it.
