We have some questions about the features of OpenSHAPA when it is released. Will it use an open source media player like VideoLAN VLC or still Quicktime? Will it be able to handle multiple video streams at once (say video files from 2 cameras filming the same subject from different angles)?

I can't speak for the developers, but from experimenting with Openshapa beta2.00, it can use the open source GStreamer media player, and can handle multiple video streams at once.
