I need some help on how to actually load the video into OpenSHAPA for annotation. I have downloaded OpenSHAPA and VLC, my java is up to date, and I have mp4, mov, and m4v files that I want to load into OpenSHAPA. I cannot seem to figure it out from the tutorials or from options in the drop down menus. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Once you have your OpenSHAPA datafile opened (or have a variable created if you are coding your first file), select Controller from the menu bar at the top of the screen. There is only one option in there, which is Data Viewer Controller. Click that and the Data Viewer Controller will open up on the screen.

This in the interface to add new data (video, audio, etc.) and move through the file (using the numberpad on the left or slider on the right). Click on the Add Data... button in the top left corner, select the video file you would like to associate with this OpenSHAPA data file, and click the Open button. The video should now open in a separate window and be linked to the data file.
