The scripts for openSHAPA are actually written in text editors like Text Mate and Xcode for Macs or Notepad and Notepad++ for PCs. All scripts need to be prefaced with the openSHAPA api in order for them to work properly. I can send you a sample script with the openSHAPA api. Then you can change the user editable portion to suit your scripting needs. If you're interested in the sample script, my email address is dmc566@nyu.edu and I will respond to that email with one.
