I feel dumb asking this question, but...
Can you figure out what's wrong with my code? I'm trying to transfer a column (that I've called "marketing") from one database (CinnamonToastCrunch2) into another database (that I have open). I thought I copied from the template exactly, but I must be doing something wrong.
I've written the following script:
I get a script completed successfully message after running that script, there's a little asterix next to the name of the file I have open indicating the file has been changed, but the column hasn't been added to the spreadsheet.
I've tried using transferVariable instead of transfer_columns, and the same thing happens. I've also tried including the setVariable method after the transfer_columns / transfer_Variable line, and that just generates an error message.
Additionally, is there a way for me to import the column from the other database while simultaneously renaming it? That is, can I do something like? columnNew = transfer_columns(etc...)
Thanks in advance for your help!!

I've taken a look at the script and can find nothing wrong with it. I tried several different fixes and couldn't get it to work in Datavyu. However, I was able to get it to work using OpenSHAPA. So it seems like there a slight difference in the APIs. I've let the Datavyu developers know of the issue and they should be working on it shortly.
Thanks for alerting us of it and good luck with your research!

Hi! Just wondering if this is currently working? In Datavyu 1.3.4, I tried to use this script and iterations of the same script (e.g., again swapping transfer_columns for transferVariable, using single ' instead of ", etc.). Not only is it not transferring my columns between databases, but it's deleting the column I'm trying to move, despite the fact I always write false or FALSE. I'd appreciate any help or insight!

Sorry! I wrote a new question but solved the problem myself. User error.
