Announcing the new Datavyu v1.3.6 with enhanced features and transcription support!

I have Datavyu installed on several Mac computers in my lab. The latest version of Datavyu (1.2, released 7/1/14) works fine on the two computers running OS 10.6.8. But it won't open on the computer running OS 10.9.4. I get the error message, "Datavyu is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the trash." However, the previous release (1.1, 3/10/14) works fine. I'm not sure whether this is something I can fix, or if I just have to wait for the next update.

This issue has to do with the computer's security settings. Mac OS X automatically prevents users from opening apps not downloaded from the app store. To turn off this setting you can go to System Preferences via Spotlight. Click "Security & Preferences" and select "Anywhere" under "Allow applications downloaded from:" You might have to have admin access to make changes, if that's the case click on the lock in the corner to make changes.
